The Cook strait
The cook strait is between the North and South island. It connects the Tasman Sea with the South Pacific Ocean.
The cook strait is 22 kilometers (14 miles) wide at the closest point. It is one of the most dangerous and unpredictable waters in the world. The cook strait is named after james cook a british sailor. The cook strait is a ferry root but it is not a nice cruise. It is also a waler ship territory. The cook strait is 128 meters (420 ft) deep on average. The cook strait has a very powerful tide so much that in britain they built a ten million dollar turbine made of carbon fiber it was placed 80m below the water it generated one megawatt.
